The Artist

Hard-working father and artist, Rodney K. Sims, enjoys utilizing airbrush techniques with mixed media on a variety of surfaces such as metal, fabrics, illustration boards, and more. His favorite creations usually involve subjects involving humor, animation, science fiction, and comics. Simsonite Creations Rushn 2 Airbrushn is here to provide our customers with all the airbrush services they may need, and we do so in a way that is creative and brings your vision to life! 

Originally a commercial art major with an advertising minor in college, I thought my life was planned out fairly well, but life has a way of taking the scenic route to get to your destination. A 20-year detour through the Air Force jungle led me astray from art, to painting other things such as buildings, office walls, crosswalks, and military aircraft. Then a career merger with aircraft sheet metal drastically altered my life plans, but not for the better.

During the next two decades, the thirst for creativity always beckoned at my existence. Different projects over the years popped up from canvas mural designs, to graphic designs on metal. The highlight of those projects was the multi-wall murals at Barksdale Air Force Base Accessories Flight Building in Bossier City, Louisiana. With the aid of my family, we service festivals and trade days throughout the North-Western Louisiana area. Now we have a thriving business that allows me to utilize my creativity to bring beautiful designs to my community!
